Boy Scout Troop #26 was started about 27 years ago. We believe that our Young Men can do all the same things that the other scouts do, we just have to adapt the activities to our Young Men !! Our Motto is to have fun!! We have 18 Young Men with various Special abilities. We have a great group of Young Men, siblings and parents. We do require 100% parental participation at all times for the younger Scouts. Young Men from the ages of 10 to almost any age can join. We currently have 2 Patrols, one Panther Patrol Scout for the younger ages and one Patrol for the older. We have Troop meetings the 1st and 3rd Thursdaya of the month, from 7:00 to 8:00pm and we try to do one activity per month. We meet at the Creek Side School, in Fairport, on O'Connor Road.
- Every year we go camping at Camp Russel, in the Adirondacks. We also go camping 2 times a year, usually May and September at the Kiwanis Club in Webster. We have done hiking, fishing, archery and much more.
- Some of the Young Men join various Challenger T-ball leagues in summer. The cost is $ 10.00 per boy; we play 5-6 games, one of which is the World Series of Challenger T-ball played at Frontier Field. The games are set up where no one gets out; everyone gets a run. The games are usually in June and July; the boys get a shirt, hat and get a trophy at the picnic at the end of the season, so it is fun for all.
- We also have some of the Young Men in a Saturday AM bowling league at Empire Lanes in Webster. The games are from 11:00 to about 12:30. There is a Fall Season from October to January and a Spring Season from January to May. The cost is $9.50 per week; it is $14.00 per week to get a bowling ball at the end of the season. The children get a pizza party and trophy at the end of the season.
- We also have some of the Young Men under the age of 18, participate in Soap Box Derby Racing in June every year at Durand Park, Lakeshoe Blvd.

We would love to have you come and visit us, try us out for a few meetings and see what you think before you join. There is a $10.00 registration fee and $10.00 monthy dues, by either fund raising or just paying, if you decide to join.
